Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 May 2026. Governing law: Republic of Ireland.
1. The service
PM Mentor is an AI-powered project management adviser operated by Joe Houghton, Houghton Consulting, Lucan, County Dublin, Ireland. By using PM Mentor you agree to these Terms.
2. Non-affiliation statement
PM Mentor is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorised by PMI, APM, AXELOS, the Agile Alliance, the Scrum Alliance, or any other standards body. PM Mentor's guidance is not equivalent to or a substitute for PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2, APM PMQ, or any other professional certification or accredited training programme.
3. Disclaimer and liability limitation
PM Mentor provides project management guidance based on recognised best-practice frameworks. All guidance is for informational purposes only. You are solely responsible for all decisions made in relation to your project and for all outcomes arising from those decisions. PM Mentor and its operators accept no liability, to the fullest extent permitted by law, for any outcome arising from decisions made in reliance on advice provided by this application.
For matters involving legal obligations, contracts, employment law, financial commitments, or regulated activities, you must seek qualified professional advice.
4. Avatar disclaimer
Avatar personas (Alex, Ciara, Marcus, Priya) are fictional AI characters — not real people. Any appearance of personal expertise is a presentation layer over an AI language model.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use PM Mentor to:
- Attempt to manipulate the AI adviser via prompt injection in project descriptions or messages.
- Share login credentials with others (subscription is per-seat).
- Scrape, resell, or redistribute PM Mentor's content or AI responses.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
6. Decision log
The decision log is an operational record for your own use. It is not legally admissible evidence and does not constitute professional advice.
7. Message immutability
Conversation messages are immutable after creation within an active account. This supports the integrity of your decision log. Your right to erase your account and all its data is unaffected.
8. Project sharing and admin override
When you share a project, invited collaborators can view or comment per the access level you set. Organisation tier admins may access project metadata (not conversation content) for governance purposes — this is logged and you are notified immediately.
9. Subscription, termination, and data deletion
Subscriptions are managed via Paddle. On cancellation, access continues until the end of the paid period. Data is retained for 30 days post-cancellation then deleted. See the Privacy Policy for full retention schedule.
10. Changes to these Terms
Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
